JNSGyro-2T Problems
The following are some of the most commonly encountered problems.

Problem
The board cannot establish a connection to a computer or external controller.
Causes
Solutions
The cable is not properly plugged in.
Check that the cable connector is attached to the correct serial port.
Unplug the cable, and then securely and properly reconnect it to the
appropriate port.
See “External Components” on page 21 and “Connector
Specifications” on page 73 for information on the receiver's
connectors.
The cable is damaged.
Use an undamaged cable.
Contact your Dealer to replace the cable.
The receiver port used for connection is
not in Command mode.
Connect your board and a computer using a free port (see
“Connecting the JNSGyro-2T and a Computer” on page 27) and start
PCView.
Click
Configuration->Receiver->Ports
.
Change the Input for the serial port used for connection to Command.
Problem
The JNSGyro-2T boards do not lock on to satellites for a long period of time.
Causes
Solutions
The boards store an old almanac.
Update the almanac.
The antenna(as) cable(s) is(are)
damaged.
Use an undamaged cable.
Contact your Dealer to replace the cable(s).
Problem
The board(s) track(s) too few satellites.
Causes
Solutions
The elevation mask value is too high
(e.g., above 15 degrees).
Lower the elevation mask.
The measuring is conducted near
obstructions (tree canopy, tall buildings,
etc.).
Check that the Multipath Reduction box has been enabled.
Connect your receiver and a computer and start PCView. See
“Connecting the JNSGyro-2T and a Computer” on page 27.
Click
Configuration->Advanced->Multipath Reduction
and
enable the box.
Move to an area free of obstructions, if applicable.
