DGPS Measuring with the LGG100-GG
Differential GPS involves the cooperation of two receivers, one that's stationary
and another that's roving around making position measurements. The stationary
receiver is the key. It ties all the satellite measurements into a solid local refer-
ence.
Setting up a DGPS Base Station
To configure a DGPS Base station using PCView, take the following steps:
1. Set up the Base station receiver's antenna as described in “LGG100-GG
2. Connect an external modem to port B for the LGG100-GG receiver.
3. Turn on the receiver.
4. Check the LED for tracked satellites.
5. Connect your receiver and computer. See “Connecting the LGG100-
GG and a Computer” on page 27 for this procedure.
6. Once connected, start PCView. On the
Connection Parameters
dialog
box, enable RTS/CTS handshaking (Figure 3-2) and then click
Con-
nect
.
