Measuring with the Prego
Stop and Go measuring
The stationary receiver (Base station) is set up at a known point such as
a measuring monument. The receiver continually tracks the satellites
and logs the raw data into the memory. The rover receiver is set up at an
unknown point and collects data in static mode for 2 to 10 minutes.
With the Rover, users move from measuring point to measuring point,
assigning the Rover’s status between kinematic and static. The receiver
continues to collect data while moving from point to point. The
occupation time for points depends on the same factors as for the static
measuring method. Remember that both the Base station and Rover
must collect data
• from the same satellites,
• at the same data recording rate, and
• with identical elevation mask angles.
This method of GPS measuring allows operators to reduce point
occupation time, permitting field crews to measuring more points as
compared to other measuring methods.
1.Using PCView, configure and set up the Base station as described in
“Static Measuring” on page 3-6.
2.Using PCView, click
