Trouble shooting steps
Improving bluetooth connection :
If you experience issues with the audio cutting in and out, or dropping out, try the
following as applicable:
Move your earbuds and your Bluetooth device closer -- you may be experiencing
Bluetooth interference. While the range of most Bluetooth devices is 10 meters (33
feet), the optimal range for any Bluetooth stereo device is about 60 centimeters (2 feet)
from the audio source.
Your earbuds’ Bluetooth antenna is located in the inline remote -- try moving your audio
source device closer to the side where the inline remote is located. For example, you
can try moving your audio source device to your right pocket instead of your left.
Reset your Bluetooth connection by turning your device's Bluetooth off for one minute
and then back on.
Complete a reset o
f your earbuds. See “How do I reset my earbuds?” for help with
resetting your earbuds.
How do I setup/fit my X4 buds? :
We recommend a fit based on how you plan to use your Jaybird X4 over-ear or under-
ear.
If you intend to use Jaybird X4 for sport use we recommend Sport Fit Plus.
Sport Fit Plus enables you to set up the earbuds for an over-ear fit, which is designed
for those wanting a great sports music experience.
For setup instructions, follow the steps below:
Over ear fit
1. Your X4 earbuds are fitted with size 1 (small) ear tips and size 2 (medium) ear fins
out of the box. Firstly, lay your X4 in front of you with the inline remote on the left hand
side. Swap the fins to the opposite side so the fin with the L is now on the side with the
remote.
2. Rotate the fins so they are pointing towards the cable.
3. Place your X4 over your ear with the inline remote on your left side as shown below.
