For Your Safety Read Before Operating
WARNING:
If these instructions are not followed precisely, a fire or explo-
sion may result causing property damage, personal injury or loss of life.
A.
This appliance does not have a pilot light. It is equipped with an ignition device that
automatically lights the burner. Do not try to light the burner by hand.
B.
Prior to operation, smell the area around the appliances to ensure that gas has not
settled on the floor.
C.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Evacuate all persons from the vehicle.
• Shut off the gas supply at the gas container or source.
• Do not touch any electrical switch or use phone or radio in the vehicle.
• Do not start the vehicle’s engine or electric generator.
• Contact the nearest gas supplier or qualified service technician for repairs.
• If you cannot reach a gas supplier or qualified service technician, contact the
nearest fire department.
• Do not turn on the gas supply until the gas leak(s) has been repaired.
D.
Use only your hand to turn a gas control valve. Never use tools. If the valve will not
turn by hand, do not try to repair it. Call a qualified service technician. Using force
may result in a fire or explosion.
E.
Do not use the appliance if any part has become wet. Immediately call a qualified
service technician to inspect and replace any part of the control system and gas
control which has been under water.
Operating Instructions
1. STOP! Read the safety information above.
2. Set the thermostat to lowest setting.
3. Turn off all electric power to the appliance.
4. This appliance is equipped with an ignition device which automatically lights the
burner. Do not try to light the burner by hand.
5. Open the control access panel.
6. Turn the valve power switch to “OFF.”
7. Wait five minutes to clear out any gas. Then smell for gas, including near the floor.
If you smell gas, STOP! Follow “C” in the safety information. If you do not smell
gas, go to the next step.
8. Turn the valve power switch on to the valve.
9. Close the access panel.
10. Turn on all electric power to the appliance.
11. Set the thermostat to desired setting.
12. If the appliance will not operate, follow the instructions TO TURN OFF GAS TO
APPLIANCE (below) and call your service technician or gas supplier.
