MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST
This list is a quickreference sheet for areas of regular maintenance. This tool is a supplement to all
information printed in this manual. However, this does not preclude the necessity to review other
manufacturer’s operation and maintenance information supplied with your parktrailer.
PRIOR TO INITIAL USE
Y CheckLP gas lines for leaks. Refer to Chapter 4.
Y Test LP gas detector. Refer to Chapter 4.
Y Sanitize fresh water system. Refer to Chapter 4.
Y Open all windows and the door and start the furnace. Leave the windows and door open and
the furnace on until the odor from the initial use of the furnace is fully dissipated.
DAILY
Y Recharge battery after each use.
Y Ensure LP gas detector operation light is green in color.
WEEKLY
Y Test LP gas detector.
Y Vacuum dust off of the LP alarm cover using the soft brush attachment from a vacuum
cleaner. This should be done more frequently in dusty locations.
Y Test the smoke alarm
MONTHLY
Y Checkfire extinguisher pressure. Refer to the fire extinguisher label for specific instructions.
Y Test the ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)
Y Lubricate the pivot points of the entrance steps.
EVERY THREE MONTHS OR 3,000 MILES
Y Compare water heater pilot flame with ideal flame. Refer to the water heater owner's manual
for ideal flame. Have cleaned and adjusted as necessary by a qualified technician.
Y Compare refrigerator pilot flame with ideal flame. Refer to the refrigerator owner's manual for
ideal flame. Have cleaned and adjusted as necessary by a qualified technician. (RV type
refrigerator only)
Y Inspect refrigerator door seals.
Y Inspect refrigerator combustion seals. Have cleaned and adjusted as necessary by a qualified
technician. (RV type refrigerator only)
Y CheckLP gas lines for leaks. Refer to Chapter 4.
Y Inspect LP tanks for rust, pits, gouges, scrapes or sharp dents. Repaint tanks if rust is present.
Y Drain and sanitize fresh water system. Refer to Chapter 4.
Y Check, clean, tighten and lubricate battery cables.
Y Inspect and clean, as needed, the air conditioner filter. Refer to information found earlier in
this manual.
EVERY SIX MONTHS OR 6,000 MILES
Y Clean drains with approved drain cleaners.
Y Checkpipe connections for tightness. Tighten if necessary.
Y Lubricate all moving parts on the entrance steps.
Y Lubricate entrance and baggage door locks.
Y Clean and lubricate stabilizer jacks (option).
Y Inspect and reseal, as necessary, all sealant and putty tape. Refer to information earlier in this
chapter.
Y Lubricate the elevating gear on the television antenna.
Y Lubricate the bearing surface between the rotating gear housing and the base plate on the
television antenna.
Y Lubricate the rubber quad ring on the elevating shaft located on the television antenna.
EVERY YEAR OR 12,000 MILES
Y Lubricate moving parts on the awning hardware. (Awning option only.)
