GENERAL MAINTENANCE INSTUCTIONS:
Jaypro Sports prides itself on manufacturing high quality, durable and safe equipment. It is
very important however that certain maintenance be performed annually on all our basketball
backstops, divider curtains, wrestling mat hoist systems, overhead volleyball systems, batting
cages, and other gymnasium equipment to ensure years of safe, trouble-free use. This work
must be completed by a qualified installer or technician. If one is not available to you, Jaypro's
own field service team can be hired to do the work. Call Jaypro Sports and ask for a field
service manager to schedule an on-site visit.
BEFORE THE START OF EVERY SEASON, YOU MUST:
Visually inspect fabric for tears or holes; vinyl and mesh patch kits are available.
Visually check the drive shaft; be sure it is still level and resting in the roller cradles.
Visually check the motor and drive unit to make sure everything is still secure.
Check electrical components such as wiring.
Periodically inspect attachments to the building structure.
Check to make sure all roller cradle assemblies are still in line with each other and at the
same elevation.
Check splice locations and make sure everything is still secure.
Verify all fasteners in roller cradle assemblies remain tight.
Verify both limits are set and working properly.
Lubricate rollers with a silicone based spray if necessary.
