Maintenance & Troubleshooting Procedures

Maintenance

Use the die oil that is shipped with each die to lubricate the felt pad.  Locate the oil holes using the Operator
Manual under MAINTENANCE. This should be done ONCE A WEEK!
Clean outside covers with mild detergent.  Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals.
Clean out chip chute and waste tub regularly.

Troubleshooting

Message displays ENCODER FAULT

  Machine may be jammed.  

Carefully 

clear the

jam.  If die is in the down position, press the die up
button to lift the die. If the die does not move, slide
the cover on reception feeder to the right to
remove. Turn the feeder drum to manually cycle
the machine (see diagram A). The die will go up
and the jam can be cleared. Turn the power off,
then on again to reset the machine.  Replace
cover over reception feeder and continue use.

Notch in lead edge of paper

  The feeder guide is too tight.  Loosen guide to just

slightly touch paper.

  Cardstock separator activated. Use Allen wrench

to loosen screw and move to OFF. Separator
screw is located beneath the paper pick.

Holes punched off edge

  Die not held against locating pins when installed.

Loosen bolts and hold the die in place while
tightening the bolts.

  Check the head and foot stop fingers. The closest

one to operator may be up and restricting the
Lateral Guide movement.

  If running tabs, Lateral Guide solenoid placement

may be off.

Tabs nicked

  Check placement of Lateral Guide solenoids.

Feed table will not raise during cycling

  Ensure that nothing is blocking the sensor path

that runs from under the front cover to the
reflective circle on the feeder.

Jamming Paper

  Check to ensure that the chip tub is empty and the

chute is clear.
