have been connected.

5 Operation
5.1 The IR remote control
With the IR remote control you can steer the various functions of
the JBL LED SOLAR lights. The remote control works the same
way as remote controls for TV etc. The IR receiver needs to be
installed near or at the aquarium cabinet so that the IR waves of
the remote control can reach it. All remote controls work with
the same wave length.
Pull the insulation strip off the battery compartment before the
initial use.
When using JBL LED SOLAR NATUR:
• ON/OFF at the touch of a button.
• Choice between the light colours Warm White (2700 K), Day-
light White (4000 K) and Cool White (6700 K). For ideal plant
growth we recommend Daylight White (4000 K).
• The light intensity can be adjusted in 8 steps. For the initial
change from fluorescent tubes to LED lighting we recommend
starting with about 50 % of the maximum light intensity and
increasing this by one step every 1 to 2 weeks.
When extending the system with JBL LED SOLAR EFFECT:
In addition to the features mentioned above:
• You can steer the colour channels Red, Green and Blue and
their mix with the buttons R+/R-, G+/G- and B+/B-.
• You can dim the colour channels in 7 steps.
5.2 Operation with a timer (not included):
The JBL LED SOLAR lights can be switched on and off with a
standard timer. The setting, chosen by remote control, is re-
tained when the timer is switched off and the lighting will start
with this setting the next morning.

(available as accessory)
The IR receiver is replaced by the control unit JBL LED SOLAR
CONTROL. Its corresponding smartphone app can be downloa-
ded in the stores free of charge.
