m

pressure regulators
Ultramodern CO
2
professional fitting for two bottle systems, with two pressure gauges
and precision needle valve.
JBL has succeeded in developing a single fitting which can be used for both refillable and
disposable CO
2
bottles:
The
m
001 pressure regulator can be adapted for use with disposable bottles (M10 x 1) by
simply unscrewing the bottle connecting nut (W21.8x1/14“). The
u
001 pressure regulator can
be adapted for use with refillable bottles by purchasing the
JBL ProFlora Adapt
u-m
adapter
(W21.8x1/14“. From serial number 154727 the bottle connecting nut is designed as a knurled nut
and must be tightened only by hand without a tool.
A highly precise adjusting screw on the needle valve with easy grip and smooth operation allows
the required amount of CO
2
to be set precisely and simply. The pressure in the bottle and
the operating pressure can be easily read on two separate pressure gauges. The operating
pressure is preset to approx. 1.5 bar, a good level for CO
2
in the aquarium. However, if desired,
the user can adjust the operating pressure to meet his requirements. A safety valve ensures
that excess pressure is safely released if the pressure is accidentally set too high, preventing
damage to the fitting.
7 The JBL ProFlora Taifun CO
2
reactor
Flexibly extendable CO
2
passive reactor with a maximum diffusion rate of CO
2
in water.
The modular construction of the
JBL ProFlora Taifun
reactor allows the reactor to be adapted
to practically any size of aquarium with optimum CO
2
utilisation. The basic version with 10
modules provides sufficient CO
2
for aquariums up to 400 l (
u
501,
u
502). The JBL ProFlora
Taifun extend extension pack with a further five modules increases capacity by an additional
200 l (
m
501,
m
502,
m
503). The
m
2003 CO2 kit with its three additional extensions can even
supply aquariums of up to 1000 l.The special construction of the spiral channel up which the
CO
2
bubbles rise, with ventilation slits in the sides, ensures complete diffusion of the CO
2
into
the surrounding water without the need for an additional water pump to create turbulence. Due
to the transparency of the reactor, the bubbles can be clearly observed as they rise.
8 The JBL ProFlora Count
safe
bubble counter
The bubble counter with integrated check valve makes it easier to check the amount
of CO
2
.
The
JBL ProFlora Count
safe
bubble counter makes it easy to check the amount of CO
2
from
any location. An additional check valve offers additional protection against flowback water.
The installation of a separate check valve is not necessary. Hose screw connections on the
inlet and outlet ensure safety. They can also be fitted onto uneven furniture surfaces using
the enclosed screws.
Note regarding the integrated check valve:
A built-in seal is prestressed by a spring, preventing a
penetration of water into valuable solenoid valves, pressure regulators and CO
2
storage bottles.
CO
2
has a very powerful diffusion strength which, if a “normal” non-return valve without spring
was used, would draw water from the aquarium through the valve as far as the storage cylinder.

solenoid valve
Noise-free 12V solenoid valve, pre-fitted on the
m
001 and
u
001 pressure regulators.
Top-class solenoid valve without a noisy hum thanks to the 12 V direct current power drive. The
power consumption optimised for use with CO
2
systems uses only 0.8 W, saving electricity and
ensuring that the valve is hardly warm to the touch. An electronic universal power supply unit fits
all common mains voltages worldwide.
