• Setting The Level
The default display mode for the ambient speakers includes a one-octave smoothing filter. Therefore, it is not
necessary to use [Ctrl]+[F4] to set the level.
[F4]: Set level. Repeat as needed.
The target curve is significantly different. Because of the very different nature of the speakers, the range of equalization
is 100Hz to 5kHz. In addition, when setting the level, it is best to match the level over the entire range of the speaker.

[F3]: Accept results.
If you are calibrating a Cinema only system, accepting the last channel signals the end of the calibration sequence.
Skip forward to the topic “Quitting DACS4” on page 54.
If you are calibrating a Music system, read on.
Music Mode Calibration:
As soon as you accept the last channel in Cinema mode, DACS4 automatically reconfigures itself for calibration of the
Music mode speakers. Follow the instructions presented on the DACS4 screen during this transition.
There is no need to calibrate the center channel or the ambient speakers. They were calibrated previously.
You will calibrate the subwoofers and the left and right front speakers. The targets are different, but the procedures are
the same.
