Main Relief Valve
Relief Valve Operation

The relief valve is situated between the neutral passage
(HP) and low pressure passage (LP). The oil flows
through the main poppet contraction hole and fills the
inner space (D). The sleeve (E) and main poppet (C) are
seated by the pressure difference in area (A) (B).

When the neutral passage (HP) pressure reaches the
pilot poppet spring force, the pilot poppet (F) opens.
Oil flows around the poppet and through the drill hole
(G) to the low pressure passage (LP).

By opening the pilot poppet, (D) pressure reduces and
the main poppet (C) opens and the oil flows directly to
port (LP).
