Swing Brake/Swing Lock
Engine is running and the swing lever is in neutral (50%
brake)
When the swing pressure switch is OFF, there is a 24V
signal from the swing brake output (CN13 terminal 9)
to the swing brake solenoid valve (SOL2), so the
solenoid valve is energised.
The pilot pressure entering the swing motor is reduced
by the pressure reduction valve and operates the brake
with 50% of its force.
Engine is running with the swing lever in operation (brake
release) - (0% brake)
a.
When the swing lever is operated, CN12 terminal 9 (swing
pressure switch input) receives a signal from the pressure
switch. The output to the swing brake solenoid is OFF, full pilot
pressure enters the swing motor to release the brake fully.
b.
When the swing lever is returned back to neutral, the pressure
switch signal is OFF. After five seconds, a 24V signal is sent to
the swing brake solenoid valve (SOL2) to operate the brake
with 50% of its force.
