SELECTIVE WRITING OF THE DATA IN LOG” MEMORY
The writing of the data inside of the memory classified for the LOG (Batch data)
containing on the ECR can be activated on G-556 in selective mode by a programmation
(the LOG is that type of data written in memory assimilable to an electronic journal that can
be unloaded via SCOM Port and can be elaborated from a PC), it's therefore possible to
define wich type of data must be written inside of LOG memory (Eg.: all the registrations
data, only the PLU reg.data, only the Totals of closing reg.data, etc...).
Beyond to the definition of the data indicated above, G-556 give the possibility also
to define manually (by the pressing of a key) which receipts’ data must be recorded inside
of the LOG containing memory ; it will be possible, with this possibility to memorize only the
receipts as an example for which it'll be necessary to print next Invoice.
This give the possibility to use such function without having to reserve a consisting
amount of memory for the LOG and without to run the risk that this can come filled up from
the several operations registered on the ECR.
- Before beginning the receipt, therefore without open receipts.
- To press the LOG Writing key (key not present in the default keyboard of G-556).
- To execute the Operations of registration in normal way.
- To close the receipt by a Total of closing.
- At this point the writing of the LOG inside of the memory on the ECR will be
discactivated in automatic way, to press again the LOG Writing key in order to
memorize other documents.

CALCULATOR FUNCTION
On G-556 is possible to activate the function CALCULATOR, that allows to execute,
on the ECR's display (without therefore that nothing it is printed on paper), the four
operations (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication).
Besides not executing not any type of printing, the operations executed by the
CALCULATOR modality don't modify neither not any type of totalizer and/or counter in the
ECR's memory.
In order to activate this function it will be necessary to put on the ECR's keyboard five
keys +, -, X, / and =, for the positioning of these keys you have to see the Programming
Manual” (keys respective codes 082, 083, 084, 085 and 086).
With the key-pad above indicated for the CALCULATOR function, it will be possible
to be operated like on a normal calculator, the input digits and the result of the operations
will be visualized either on the operating's display than on customer's display, during
"CALCULATOR" operativity the "," (comma) sign on display, must be ignored.
In order to remove eventual amounts inserted in wrong way or eventual error
condictions, normal CL key present in ECR's keyboard can be used.
