13.50 RECEIPT ZERO ENTRY
Depending to the S.S.6H setting, it is possible to allows that operations of Return
Merchandising and/or T.M.B., can carry momentarily in negative the Sub-total of the receipt
in course.
If the S.S.6H is set to 1, the possibility indicated above will be allowed from ECR ;
since on G-556 it isn't possible to close a receipt with negative amount, the G-556 will
activate in cases that the receipt amount is negative, an automatic procedure that will allow
to balance (bringing the total at least to zero) the receipt's total. This will be executed from
the ECR in automatic mode and moreover it will give the possibility to conserve however
a trace of the balance operations activated.
It's good norm to reserve for this function an Dept. named like Balance.

After the execution of the operations that bring the
total of the receipt in negative, the ECR will signal
by an acoustic message (beep-beep-beep) and a
message on display
Zero balance
the negative
amount reached in case of alphanumeric display,
or only visualizing the negative amount blinking in
case of numeric display.
Example 1:

To execute on receipt registrations for a value of
80.00.

Sub-Total

To execute the registration of a T.M.B. with value
of 100.00.

The ECR will activate above message.

Press the Balance Dept. key

The receipt it will be automatically closed
Note :
If after the point - d it's inadvertently generated an
ERROR condition, to repeat the steps from the
point - c.
