Freeze mode
Once the image is acceptable (sharpness, luminosity and contrast are
tuned correctly), you may
freeze
the picture. This feature allows to store
in memory the resulting picture.
Adding a comment
A key
Comment
allows you to enter/modify a comment to your picture if
necessary. This comment appears at the bottom left of the picture.
The right bottom of the frozen picture also contains the date of the acqui-
sition (where the picture was frozen).

Once the Brightness and Contrast parameters are correctly defined for
the current image (see
"Luminosity and Contrast settings" page 39
), a
test of fiber connector can be launched.
The
High mag./Low mag.
key allows to display the picture with a high
or low magnitude.
To launch the test:

Press
Test
key to launch the test of plugged fiber connector.
Freezing a scope result does not store the picture in a file (see
). The result will be lost if the instrument is shut off, or if
more than 3 pictures are frozen (see
).
NOTE
The button set on the lead, or the QuickCapture™ on the P5000
allows to freeze the picture or to take a snapshot.
NOTE
Both the comment and the date will be saved with the picture.
Use the focus control to adjust the focus of the image
