- Move the hedge trimmer from side to side with even 

movements to cut the hedge.

Always start from the bottom and side, and repeat the 

movement over the same area if the foliage is very thick.  

- Be very careful when cutting near walls, thick branches, wire 

fencing or other obstacles. If the blade comes into contact with 

an obstruction, it can jam or kick back.  

- Stop the hedge trimmer immediately if the blade jams. The 

blade can be damaged if it comes into contact with metal, stone 

or other solid objects. 

- Sparking may occur in the motor compartment during use. This 

is normal and does not indicate a defect.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

- Always remove leaves, dirt etc. from the trimmer. 

- Wipe all parts of the trimmer off with a damp cloth. 

- Lubricate the metal parts and any moving parts of the multi-

trimmer with acid-free oil or lubricating spray. 

- Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, dust-free, frost-free location. 

- Always fit the protective sleeve onto the blade when 

transporting or storing the hedge trimmer.
