Replacing Filter Bags
Replace the wash and rinse water filter bags before the differential pressure
reaches 15 psig (Figure 10). Follow these steps to replace the filter bags:
1.
Shut of the machine by pressing the front panel Emergency Stop
button. Move the main power switch to the Off position. Follow
your plant’s lockout/tagout procedure.
2.
Open the manual vent valve on the top of the filter housing and the
manual drain valve on the drain line to depressurize and drain the
filter housing (Figure 10).
3.
Loosen cover bolts and remove cover. Remove and discard filter bag.
4.
Clean the inside of the filter housing, cover, and filter basket. Inspect
filter components for damage. Inspect o-ring for damage or excessive
stretching. Replace parts as needed.
5.
Install and spread out new filter bag in filter basket and housing.
6.
Install o-ring in filter housing and replace cover. Tighten cover bolts.
7.
Close the drain valve and vent valve.
8.
To bleed air from the filter housings and lines, use the operator
interface to place the machine into manual mode. Close the washing
chamber door, and open the wash chamber main drain.
9.
Set diverter to the wash tank position. Open the bleed valve on the
top of the wash tank filter housing and start the wash tank pump.
When water flows from the bleed line, close the bleed valve and stop
the pump.
10.
Set the diverter to the rinse tank position. Open the bleed valve on
the top of the rinse tank filter housing and start the rinse pump.
When water flows from the rinse bleed line, close the bleed valve and
stop the pump.
11.
Place the machine in automatic mode and open the washing chamber
door. The machine is ready to operate.
