Adjusting the Rotator Proximity
Switch
The rotator proximity switch consists of metal plate located on the back of
the rotator gear and a detector mounted on the back wall
of the washing chamber. During tilting, the system uses the proximity switch
to time and control rotation in each direction. At the end
of a cleaning cycle, the proximity switch locates the basket and basket guides
horizontally so the basket slides out from the wash chamber.
If the basket is not positioned horizontally at the end of a cleaning cycle,
adjust the proximity switch following these steps:
1.
Remove the cover from the top of the washing chamber and ensure
the metal plate is firmly attached to the rotator gear. Reposition or
reattach if necessary.
2.
Run and cleaning cycle and check position of basket at end of
cleaning cycle. If basket is not horizontal, loosen locking nuts on the
proximity sensor mounting plate located on the back outside wall of
the washing chamber (Figure 14).
3.
Rotate the proximity sensor logically to reposition the stopping point
of the basket guides. Retighten the proximity switch locking nuts and
test the performance of the switch.
4.
Readjust until basket and basket guides stop in a horizontal position
at the end of a cleaning cycle.
