5. Remove the wiring harness quick disconnect
connector.
6. Remove the two fan backet assembly mounting
screws.
7. Remove the fan blade by pulling it off the shaft.

8. Remove the screws that secure the rear bracket
to the front bracket. Remove the motor from the
rear mounting bracket.
9. Install the new motor to the rear mounting
bracket. Mount the rear bracket to the front
mounting bracket.
10.Install the fan blade on the replacement motor.
The fan blade is provided with a stop on the face
of the hub. It is properly installed when the blade
is positioned so the stop rests against the end of
the shaft.
11. Replace the fan motor assembly in reverse order
of removal.
Defrost Heaters
Two radiant defrost heaters are used to remove the
accumulated frost from the freezer evaporator during
a defrost cycle. These heaters are wired in series,
thus comprising the defrost heater system.
REPLACING THE DEFROST HEATERS
1.
Shut the main power switch off.
2. Perform steps 6 through 17 of
Evaporator
Replacement.
3. Using long nose pliers remove the two front and
back wire retainer clips. (One on the right side
and one on the left. Carefully lower the radiant
defrost heaters. (See figure 1).
