2.2 Switching on / off
The HMCflex is switched on via the ignition switch that is integrated into the control system (position 1)
with terminal 30 activated. Once the preheating time is over, the engine can be started (position 2). In
this way you get straight into the operating mode where the speed, operating hours, oil pressure and
engine temperature are displayed. Using the arrow keys, you can change to display the operating
hours for the day or the overall ones.
As usual, the engine and the HMCflex are switched off via the ignition key. The HMCflex continues to
run automatically until the engine has come to rest.
In the event of an error, the HMCflex switches the engine off as per the programmed specifications.
The error is displayed via the red warning light and as plain text. Errors those are warning pro-
grammed (alarm), is displayed via the red blinking warning light and as plain text. The display changes
between error display and representation of the operating parameters.
The equipment must be attached to continuous plus (clamp 30), so that the data and attitudes are duly
stored.
After switching on of the HMCflex on the briefly following opinion in the display appears. From this the
software-Version can be read off.
2.3 SET key
To configure the HMCflex, when switching on terminal 15 (ignition switch position 1), the SET key
must be pressed until the code input field appears. The individual numbers of the code are also con-
firmed by using the SET key. In addition, the key is needed to access the various sub-menus in the
programming and display modes and to confirm the Options.
2.4 Arrow keys
In normal operation, you can change the view between displaying the operating parameters and dis-
playing the operating hours for the day or the overall ones by using the arrow keys.
In programming mode, you can navigate to the individual settings in the main menu and sub-menu. In
addition, you use the arrow keys to input the code figures and to reduce or increase a value when
configuring individual parameters.
