do not
attempt to force larger material into the machine.
Check that the cutting disc cover is securely fastened, and that all bolts and nuts on

re-sharpened knives.
Before the first use, lubricate the feed roller bearings, and repeat according to the

Important safety precautions
-
During operation, the safety guards must always be in position. Make sure they
are tightly secured.
-
Never
leave the machine running whilst unattended.
-
Never
allow the machine to run with the guards removed.
-
Always ensure that the disc has come to a complete standstill before opening the
disc cover.
-
Check tightness of the knife holder bolts frequently, especially after re-sharpened
knives have been fitted.
-
Do not put hands or feet into the feed hopper in any circumstances.
-
Do not stand on any part of the machine whilst it is working.
-
Do not attempt to force material into the hopper – if necessary cut awkward
shaped branches with a bill-hook and try again.
-
If the feed rollers block – use the control lever to reverse the direction; any
material jammed in the rollers will then be forced out very quickly.
-
Do not attempt any other procedures until the machine has come to a complete
stop, and the tractor / engine has been switched off.
