POWER SOURCE

 

 
This CD Player operates on 6 ‘C’ (UM-2) size batteries (not included) or from AC 120V~ 60Hz line power. 

 
A. DC POWER OPERATION 

1. 

Open the Battery Compartment Door (#13). 

2. 

Insert 6 “C” (UM-2) size batteries, according to the polarity diagram, in the battery compartment. 

3. 

Close the Battery Compartment Door. 

 
IMPORTANT

: Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage the unit. 

 

Note: 
i. 

For best performance and longer operating time, we recommend the use of alkaline-type batteries. 

ii. 

Do not mix old and new batteries. 

iii. 

Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries. 

iv. 

If the unit is not going to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries. Old or leaking 
batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty. 

v. 

Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak. 

 
B. AC OPERATION    

Connect the included AC power cord to the AC INPUT SOCKET (#12) on the back of the unit and the other 
end of the cord into an AC 120V~ 60 Hz wall outlet. 
Note: The batteries will automatically disconnect and the unit will operate on AC power whenever the AC 

power cord is plugged into the AC MAIN (#14) input on the back of the unit. 

 
 

CD PLAYER OPERATION 

 
Note: This CD Player not only plays commercial discs, but also self compiled CD-R and CD Rewritables.   

Do not attempt to play CD-ROM, CDI, VCD, DVD or other computer program/game CD’s. 

 
PLAYING A DISC 

1.  Set the Function Switch (# 15) to the "CD" position. The Display (# 6) will show “no“ if a CD is not 

inserted. 

2.  Open the CD Door (# 5) by lifting the door at the edge marked OPEN. Place an audio CD with label 

side up in the CD compartment and gently push down on the CD Door to close. 

3. 

After a few seconds, the total number of tracks on the CD will appear in the Display (# 6). 

4. 

Press the PLAY/PAUSE Button (# 9) and

 

  

the CD will start playing from the first track.  

5. 

Adjust the Volume Control (# 16) to obtain the desired sound level from the Speakers.  

6.  To suspend playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE Button (# 8). The track number shown in the Display (# 6) 

will flash. Press the PLAY/PAUSE Button (# 8) again to resume playing. 

7.  You can choose to play your favorite track directly by pressing the Skip/Search 

 Button (# 7) to skip 

forward or the Skip Back 

 Button (# 4) to skip backward. The Display (# 6) will indicate the track 

number selected. 

8.  To search fast forward or backward, press and hold the Skip/Search 

 Button (# 7) or the Skip Back 

 Button (# 4) to scan through the track. 

9.  To repeat a particular playing track, press the REPEAT Button (# 3) once. 

REPEAT

 will appear in the 

Display top left corner. 

10.  To repeat the entire playing CD

 press the REPEAT Button (# 3) twice. 

REPEAT ALL

 will appear in the 

Display top left corner.  Press REPEAT Button (# 3) again to cancel the REPEAT function 

11.  To stop playing, press the STOP Button (# 8). 
12.  Set the Function Switch (# 15) to the "OFF" position to turn the unit off.
