5.10.5 Controlling Specimen Temperature
■
Sample Temperature Control dialog
This is a dialog for controlling the specimen temperature.
Current Temperature
This displays the current temperature read by a temperature sensor, which is attached to
the specimen holder.
•
When the temperature display appears in red
This shows that the current temperature is more than 1
℃
higher than the set
temperature.
•
When the temperature display appears in green
This shows that the current temperature is within
±
1
℃
of the set temperature.
•
When the temperature display appears in blue
This shows that the current temperature is more than 1
℃
lower than the set
temperature.
Temperature Setting
This sets a desired specimen temperature you want. You can set the temperature in 0.1
℃
unit:
•
When you use a heating holder
You can set the temperature from 0
℃
to 500
℃
(273.1K to 773.1K). When you
use a heating holder, control the temperature by heating the specimen from room
temperature using a heater. Be careful that the actually controllable temperature
range and the required time to reach the set temperature differ depending on the
specimen.
•
When you use a cooling holder
You can set the temperature from –199
℃
to 50
℃
(74.1K to 323.1K). When you
use a cooling holder, control the temperature by heating the specimen from the
cooled state using a heater. Be careful that the actually controllable temperature
