Below is the format of a WinSPM image file when an SPM image is recorded in
compressed TIFF. The WinSPM compressed TIFF is a file format consisting of the
conventional 8 bit TIFF plus SPM measurement data and compatible with applications
other than WinSPM. The file structure is the same as that of the SPM image file except
that the TIFF image data is recorded as 8 bit data per pixel and followed by the color
map section with LUT color specification data.
