THE ALARM KEYHOLE
The Keyhole guardian zone is used to decide when and what is displayed on the
Hazard Status Bar. It is a circle of trawl length 1 nm (adjustable to length of tow
if required) superimposed upon an arc at CMG +/- 30° of length 3 nm - both
being based upon the vessel position.
Circle radius is variable,
set by trawl length setting
Course Indicator length
fixed at 5 minutes
Arc length fixed at 3NM

When the Forward Sector zone overlaps a Hazard or Safety Area, the Yellow
warning indicator is displayed and the associated Audible Alarm is sounded.
When the vessel enters a Hazard or Safety Area, the relevant Red warning indicator
is displayed and the associated Audible Alarm is sounded.
