INSTALLATION & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

17. General

The following servicing procedure
should be carried out regularly and
only by a qualified person.

NOTE: Due to the materials used in
the fuel bed, it is inevitable that
servicing can be a dirty and dusty
operation. Suitable precautions should
be taken.

Important: The pilot and flue sensing
device fitted to this fire is also an
atmospheric sensing device. If for any
reason any part of the pilot assembly
is to be replaced the entire assembly
i n c l u d i n g   t h e   p i l o t   b u r n e r,
thermocouple electrode and injector
must be exchanged complete for a
pilot assembly from the original
manufacturer only. This atmosphere
sensing device is not adjustable and
must not be put out of action.

1

Turn off fire and allow it to go cold.

2

Turn off gas supply at the isolation

tap.

3

Carefully remove all the coals and

ceramics one at a time by hand and
remove any soot deposits by hand
with a soft brush i.e. paint brush.

NOTE: Due to the intense

temperatures reached in the fire
some surface cracks may appear
on the ceramic components. This
is quite normal and will not affect
the safe operation of the appliance.

4

Disconnect the gas pipe from the

valve and lift the gas grate out of
the fire box.

5

Remove the injectors then clean

and visually inspect for damage
before replacing.

6

Clean the burner tray and flame

strip.

7

Visually inspect the gas grate for

any defects before replacing.

8

Re-assemble in reverse order,

reconnect to gas supply and check
for gas soundness.

9

Replace all ceramics and coals as

described in “Positioning the Coals”.

10 Check that any purpose provided

ventilation is free from obstruction.

11 Re-commission the fire as described

in “Commissioning the Fire”.

19. Registering the Warranty

Jetmaster warrants the Gas Grate for
one year, providing it is fitted and used
correctly, and has been fitted by a
registered LPGAS Association fitter
accredited by Jetmaster, and the
Warranty Card is returned to Jetmaster
fully completed, including the fitter’s
details and telephone contact number,
within 30 days of purchase.
