CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL DEVICE
• Using the
AUX IN
jack (7), an external music player (e.g. MP3 player)
can be connected to this device and music can be played over the
loudspeakers.
•
Attention:
Before connecting your external playback device, please
also read the operating instructions for information regarding safety
instructions and usage with other devices.
• Turn off this device and the external playback device.
• Connect the external playback device using a stereo cable (Ø3.5 mm).
The cable is not included in the scope of delivery.
• Connect the stereo cable with the
AUX IN
jack (7) and put the other
end into the headphone jack or the LINE-OUT jack of the playback
device. If the external device has a smaller or larger socket, then use a
corresponding adaptor (not included in the scope of delivery).
• First turn on the external device and set the volume to zero. Then turn this
device on and set the volume to
MIN
.
• Slide the switch
STANDBY/FM
(5) to position
FM
.
• Now you can regulate the volume of both devices. If this device is
connected via the LINE-OUT jack on the external device, then regulate the
volume on this device.
• However, playback is controlled using the external device.
• Please note that if you only turn off this device, the external playback
device will continue playing.
