BASIC FUNCTIONS
Setting alarm
• You can set a switch-on time and a switch-off time in which the radio, CD player or another audio source
such as USB or SD/MMC card will switch on or off.
• The switch-on / switch-off time can be set while the device is switched on or in standby mode.

Note:
The alarm setting is only possible if you have already set the time (see paragraph
Set time
).
• Press the
TIMER
button (44) to set the switch-on time.
The display (1) shows
ON and 00:00 (Fig. 2)
.
• Adjust the hour digits with
(53) or
(41) and
confirm with the
TIMER
button.
• Set the minutes in the same way and confirm with the
TIMER
button.
• The display shows
OFF
and
00:00
angezeigt (Fig. 3).
• Set the switch-off time (hours, minutes) as described
above.
• After pressing the
TIMER
button
TUNER
will flash on the
display. Select with
(53) or
(41) the desired audio
source (
TUNER, CD, USB, SD/MMC
).
• Confirm your selection with the
TIMER
button.
• Set the volume with
(53) or
(41) and confirm
your selection with the
TIMER
button.

• The LCD display shows all settings again as running text. Then it switches to the normal display and
additionally the clock icon is displayed:
• If you press the
TIMER
button again the timer function will be switched off.
Notes:
• If, after the setting of the switch-off time,
ERROR
is displayed, the input of the time is not logical (switch-on
time same as switch-off time). After a few seconds you can enter switch-off time again (as described in
paragraph
Setting alarm
).
• If you do not press any buttons for 10 seconds, the settings of the alarm time are cancelled.
• If you pull the power plug or switch off the device with the power switch (29), the timer settings will be
deleted. Set the switch-on/off time again.
