5.1 Engine failure during rolling
1.
Throttle to idle
2.
Brake as needed
3.
Magnetoes - off
4.
Fuel cock - close
5.
Master switch - off
5.2 Engine failure after take-off
1.
Airspeed 48 – 51 knots (55 - 59 MPH)
2.
Land in RWY direction or at a place ahead of you with yaw
possibility
3.
Magnetoes - off
4.
Fuel cock - close
5.
Master switch - off
6.
Seat belts - fasten
7.
Flaps as needed
5.3 Engine failure during flight
Insufficient height for attempt to start up the engine:
1.
Airspeed 48 – 51 knots (55 - 59 MPH)
2.
Landing area choice (landing direction, surface, wind, gradient)
3.
Magnetoes - off
4.
Fuel cock - close
5.
Master switch - off
6.
Seat belts - fasten
7.
Flaps – as needed
Sufficient height for starting up the engine:
1.
Airspeed 48 – 51 knots (55 - 59 MPH)
2.
Landing area choice (landing direction, surface, wind, gradient)
3.
Check:
- Magnetoes - on
- Fuel cock - open, quantity check
- Fuel pumps - on
- Master switch – on
