6.11 Procedures on final approach, landing
1.
Airspeed 48 knots (55 MPH), raised idle , max. desc. speed 530
fpm
2.
Flaps – take-off or landing position – at discretion of pilot
3.
Trim – nose up
4.
RWY – check, report
5.
At 16 ft – engine idle
6.
Align at 3 ft
7.
Lose speed by gradually pulling control stick and touch down on
main landing gear
8.
Brake as needed, hold direction with control

Vacate RWY, time
2.
Engine speed - idle
3.
Trim – neutral
4.
Flaps - up
5.
Fuel pump – switch off
6.13 Engine shut down
1.
Cool engine at 2000 rpm
2.
Throttle – idle
3.
Transceiver, beacon, gyroscopes and other segmental switches –
switch off
4.
Magnetoes – off
5.
Master switch – switch off
6.14 Leaving airplane
1.
Magnetoes, master switch and segmental switches – switched off -
check
2.
Fuel cocks - close
3.
Emergency parachute system - lock
