EXT-100 External passive pickup installation instructions.
Please note;
Although every system is tested before shipping, we recommend that you plug it into your amp and test it before installation. This can be done by simply tapping on the
transducers while plugged in. You should hear the tapping sounds through your amplifier.
Please note; The piezo’s must be handled with care during installation.
Installation;
1.
Remove the guitars strap button.
2.
Place jack clip between the strap button and the guitar body and replace screw. (See pic in auction)
3.
You may want to experiment with the placement of the piezo by using a small piece of masking tape to hold it in place. I recommend mounting it to the
guitar top near the bridge. (See pic in auction)
4.
Once you have determined where you would like to mount the piezo, attach it to the guitar top using the provided mounting putty.
5.
That’s it! Plug in and enjoy your new pickup!
Please note; If you chose to have your pickup built with the self-stick jack option, please disregard steps 1 and 2. Simply peel
off the backing and stick the jack at the desired mounting location. The adhesive can be replaced in the future with any foam-
centered double stick tape if desired. Also, the mounting putty is simply poster putty (fun-tak by Loctite to be more specific).
You can purchase this from any store that carries office supplies if more is desired.
