Note:
•
If you have a Datalogic PowerScan continue with step 5.
•
If you have a Symbol 3400 series scanner continue with step 8 on page 6.
•
For all other scanners proceed directly to step 14 on page 8.
5. Locate and carefully remove the screw at the bottom of the scanner. (Figure 6)

6. Remove the scanner cable retention clip with the screw. (Figure 7)
6a. Remove the black scanner cable retention clip from the screw.

7. Place the stainless steel retractor cable connector on the screw with the loop positioned towards
the head of the screw. (Figure 8)
7a. Place the black scanner cable retention clip onto the screw. (Figure 8)
7b. Install the screw back into the handle of the scanner with the stainless steel retractor cable
connector positioned as shown in Figure 8.
