ASSEMBLY

NOTE:

Apply a light film of hydraulic oil to all components before
assembly.

Position cylinder barrel in a suitable holding fixture.

IMPROPER SEAL INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE CYLINDER LEAKS AND IMPROPER
CYLINDER OPERATION.

Install Rod Seal (5) in Cylinder Head (3).

Press-in Bearing (6).

Install Wiper (4).

Install O-Ring (7), Backup Ring (8), and O-Ring (9).

Repeat for other Cylinder Head.

Install wear ring (11) in piston groove.

Install seal (10) in piston groove.

INSERTING ROD OFF-CENTER CAN DAMAGE PISTON AND CYLINDER BARREL
SURFACES. USE EXTREME CARE INSTALLING CYLINDER ROD AND PISTON.

Install Cylinder Head (3) on one end of Barrel (1).

10.

Insert Rod Assembly (2) in Barrel (1) until end of Rod is
through Cylinder Head (3).

11.

Install remaining Cylinder Head (3) to Barrel (1).

Tighten two Cylinder Heads (3) with Hook Spanner to
397 ft-lb (538 Nm).
