INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTALLER
GENERAL
This manual is an integrating and essential part of the supply and shall be delivered to the user. Read carefully the
instructions given in this manual, since they supply important indications on safety of installation, use and maintenance.
Keep this manual safely for any further reference. The burner shall be installed by professionally qualified personnel,
following the manufacturer’s instructions, in compliance with the regulations in force. Improper installation can results in
damage to people, animals or property for which th manufacturer shall not be held liable
This unit shall be used in the application for which it is expressly intended. Any other use is to be regarded as improper
and therefore a potential source of danger. Any manufacturer’s liability for damage resulting from improper, wrong and
unreasonable use shall be expressly excluded.
Before any cleaning or servicing operation, the unit shall be disconnected from minas by turning off the system switch
or through the cut-out devices purposely provided.
In case of breakdown and/or misoperation, switch off the unit. Do not try to repair or reactivate the burner. Contact
qualified personnel only. Repair shall be made only by a service centre duly authorized by the manufacturer, using factory
spare parts only. Failure to comply with the above instructions may jeopardise the unit safety. It’s essential that the unit
is regularly serviced by professionally qualified personnel, following the manufacturer’s instructions, to ensure full
serviceability and proper operations.
When the use of the unit is to be discontinued, any potential source of hazard shall be made inoperative.
Before the burner is started, ask to qualified personnel to make sure that:
a) the supply and electric system is adequate for the unit rated input shown on the data plate;
b) the settings of the burner is adequate for the boiler power;
c) the combustion air intake and the fumes exhaust are in compliance with the regulations in force:
d) the aeration and the ordinary maintenance of the burner are guaranteed.
Before any disassembly operation on the burner or any opening of inspection holes, the unit shall be disconnected from
mains and the feed cocks shall be closed.
Do not leave containers with inflammables in the room where the burner is placed.
The burner room shall have openings to the outside in compliance with the current regulations. In case of doubt as to
the air circulation, measure the value of the CO2 when the burner is working at its maximum capacity and the room is
ventilated only through the openings destined to feed the air to the burner; then, measure the value of the CO2 a second
time, with the door open. The value of the CO2 thus measured must not change in a significant way. In Case more than
one burner and one fan should be placed in the same room, this test shall be effected with all the units working at the
same time.
Do not obstruct the ventilation openings in the room where the burner is installed to prevent:
-
the generation of toxic or explosive mixtures;
-
an inadequate air combustion which would cause a dangerous, expensive and polluting working.
Do not leave the burner exposed to rain, snow and freeze.
The room of the burner shall be kept clean and free from volatile substances, which could be taken inside the fan and
obstruct the inside ducts of the burner or of the combustion head. The powder is extremely dangerous, especially if it
settles on the fan blades, where it will reduce the ventilation and cause pollution during the combustion. The powder could
also settle on the back side of the flame stabilizer disk in the combustion head and cause a poor air-fuel mixture.
