Cooker hood user guide

Preparation for installation
The cooker hood must be mounted so that the minimum
distance between the
fi
lters and the gas or electric hob is
65cm.
This type of cooker hood must be installed inside a cabinet or
other support structure.
The ducting system for this cooker hood must not be
connected to an existing ventilation system which is being used
for any other purpose.
We recommend an air exhaust tube which is the same
diameter as the air exhaust outlet hole. If a two-part air
exhaust tube is used, the upper part must be placed outside
the lower part.
If installing this cooker hood between adjoining wall cabinets,
the wall cabinets must not overhang the hob.
Before beginning installation, remove the
fi
lters (see page 8).
This will make the unit easier to handle during installation.
Installing the cooker hood
1 Measure the interior of the cupboard and mark the
location of the screw holes (A) and chimney hole, making
sure that the cupboard doors will close properly when the
cooker hood is in position.
2 Drill holes in the bottom shelf of the cupboard.
3 Cut chimney outlet holes in the top and bottom of the
cupboard.
4 Adjust the spacer to ensure the cooker hood meets the
cabinet at the rear.
5 Insert screws to fasten the cooker hood to the cupboard
shelf.
6 Connect an air exhaust pipe to the cooker hood using the
fl
ange shown below.
7 Connect the other end of the air exhaust pipe to the
chimney or exterior vent.
