WIRING CONNECTIONS
POWER CONNECTIONS
Use a UL
listed Class 2 power transformer supplying a nominal 24 VAC (+/-
10%). The supply to the transformer must be provided with a breaker or
disconnect.
NOTE
:
The UL
listed Class 2 power transformer may be used to
power multiple UL
listed Class 2 powered devices provided
that the transformer is properly sized to power all equipment
simultaneously.
WHEN POWERING MULTIPLE UL
LISTED CLASS 2 DEVICES
FROM THE SAME CLASS 2 POWER TRANSFORMER, POLAR-
ITY MUST BE OBSERVED (24VAC HOT CONNECTED TO
24VAC HOT AND 24VAC NEUTRAL CONNECTED TO 24VAC
NEUTRAL).
DO NOT GROUND THE SECONDARY OF THE POWER TRANS-
FORMER. THE TRANSFORMER FRAME MUST BE GROUNDED.
The power connections to the FCU-01 are shown in Figure 3. To connect
power to the FCU-01:

Connect the Hot wire of the transformer to the
HOT
terminal on
the FCU-01 board.

Connect the Neutral wire of the transformer to the
NEU
terminal
on the FCU-01 board.

. Connect
the
GND
terminal on the FCU-01 board to a properly
grounded metal chassis.
