4. Wait until all excess fuel inside the turbine is burnt.
5. Do not retract the engine while hot or while any flames are
visible.
If an engine fire spreads into the fuselage area, it is regarded as a
hazardous situation and immediate action is required:
1. Close the fuel valve in the cockpit.
2. If the engine is not fully extended and the engine bay doors
are open, extend engine immediately to close the bay doors
by moving the Jet Control toggle switch to “EXT” position.
3. Use an aircraft type fire-extinguisher to extinguish the fire.
4. Do not retract the engine while hot or while any flames are
visible.
5. Allow the engine to cool down completely before further
investigation is initiated.
6. Ensure the aircraft is serviceable before commencing with
further flying.
