Refueling is accomplished by means of an external pump connected
by a quick connector on the left hand side of the engine box (Refer to
section 4 for more detail on refueling and de-fueling). This same
connection can be used to drain the fuel from the tanks. Alternatively
the fuel drain fitting installed in the rear of the main landing gear wheel
box can be used to drain fuel.
The fuel system is vented by means of a single vent tube running from
the rear of the top tank straight down and through the bottom of the
fuselage. The fuel system schematic layout can be seen in Figure 7-5.
Note:
The pre-flight should include an inspection of the vent inlet
beneath the fuselage for debris that could be obstructing the
opening (a plugged vent can result in tanks collapsing inwards
due to fuel pump suction)
