Method for initialization of Compact Flash
Select "Initialization" on the CF control screen using the cursor keys
, and press the
ENTER
key.
The message "Do you want to initialize memory?
Yes/No" is displayed. Select "Yes" using the
cursor keys
, and press the
ENTER
key. (To cancel the initialization, select "No" and press the
ENTER
key.
)
The message “Initializing” is displayed and initialization is started. After the message disappears,
the compact flash memory is initialized and all data is deleted. (See Figure 3-20.)
Notes
•
Never remove/insert the compact flash memory card or turn off the power switch while
initializing is in progress. Doing so may cause a malfunction.
•
Be sure to initialize the compact flash memory using this unit.
•
If the CF button is pressed without a compact flash memory card being mounted, the
message "No compact flash memory" will be displayed. In this case, press the ENTER key
to close the screen, turn off the power, and then insert the compact flash memory card.
