 Compact Kettle

Before first use

1.  Remove any labels or swingtickets.
2.  Wash the inside of the Kettle Body   with liquid detergent and warm water, rinse and 

dry. 

3.  Wipe the outside of the Kettle Body   with a cloth, using liquid detergent and warm 

water.

4.  Wash the Lid   in liquid detergent and warm water.

DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE KETTLE IN WATER, EXCEPT THE LID  .

5.  Turn the Kettle upside down and use a screwdriver to set the Mains Voltage Selector 

Switch   to correspond to the mains supply voltage in your location, 110V or 230V.

• 

IF YOU TRAVEL TO ANOTHER LOCATION, CHECK THE MAINS SUPPLY VOLTAGE AND, IF 
NECESSARY, ADJUST ACCORDINGLY. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN DAMAGE TO 
THE KETTLE.

6.  Follow the “How to use” instructions to boil the maximum amount of water, then discard 

the water.

How to use

1.  Position the Kettle on a dry, level and stable surface, away from direct heat.
2.  The Mains Lead   should be positioned so as not to cause an obstruction or to overhang 

the edge of the surface. The Kettle should not be positioned directly below a mains socket.

3.  Remove the Lid  .
4.  Pour the required amount of cold water into the Kettle, ensuring that the level is below 

the MAX 0.5l mark.

DO NOT OVERFILL, OR USE WITH LESS THAN A CUP FULL OF WATER.

5.  Replace the lid   .
6.  Insert the Mains Plug   into a mains socket and switch on at the socket.
7.  Flick the Off/On Switch   down to begin to heating the water.

When the water has begun to boil, the Kettle will switch off automatically and the 
Indicator   will extinguish.

8.  Switch off the mains socket and remove the Mains Plug  .
9.  Pour water from the spout of the Kettle, as required.

TAKE CARE WITH VERY HOT WATER.

• 

Once the water has cooled, it can be reheated by flick the Off/On Switch   down. This will 
not function while the water is still hot.

• 

THE KETTLE HAS OVERHEATING PROTECTION, WHICH WILL AUTOMATICALLY SWITCH 
IT OFF. HOWEVER, YOU SHOULD TAKE CARE NOT TO ALLOW IT TO BOIL DRY.
