(Caution) The oil amount does not change immediately after adjustment, so have this in mind when
adjusting the oil amount.
1. Before operation,
fi
ll the oil reservoir with JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1 up to the HIGH mark.
2. Whenever the oil level drops to the LOW mark, add more oil.
3. When the sewing machine is run after the oil reservoir has been
fi
lled, oil can be seen splashing on the oil sight
window. However, the amount of oil splash has no relation to the amount of oil in the reservoir so there is no
need to worry.
4. When the oil has become dirty, replace it with fresh oil. Unscrew the oil plug from the oil reservoir when draining.
5. When using a new sewing machine or one that has not been used for a long time let it idle for about ten min-
utes at 3,500 to 4,000 sti/min to run it in.
(Caution) 1. Verify that the lubricating oil is properly circulating by watching it through the oil sight
window.
2. Remove any fi berous dust from the oil pump fi lter screen and the oil reservoir.
3. When the lubrication oil has become dirty, drain it through the oil drain screw cap and fi ll
it with new JUKI New Defrix Oil No.1.
4. Verify that the oil level is above "LOW' mark.
5. Clean up the oil reservoir magnet with a cloth.

To avoid possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, turn off the power to the machine and check to be
sure that the motor has totally stopped rotating in prior.
