Open the battery cover (4) as shown in fig. 3 and insert the supplied batteries with the polarity shown in
the battery compartment. Only use alkaline batteries. Do not mix different types of batteries or batteries
with different capacities.
Start
Move the power switch (1) to the ON position. IMPORTANT: The tool projects a laser beam as soon as it
is started.
Switching off
Move the power switch (1) to the OFF position. IMPORTANT: The tool is switched off and the laser unit is
locked.
Automatic levelling
The tool automatically compensates for deviations of up to about ± 4º within the area for automatic
levelling. The levelling is ready when the laser line stops moving. A warning signal is given and the laser
switches off if automatic levelling cannot be carried out. Position the tool so it is horizontal and let it carry
out automatic levelling again.
Cross line mode (fig. 4)
Place the tool on a stable, horizontal surface or mount it on a stand. The tool is fitted with a tripod thread
(5). Start the tool. The laser goes into cross line mode with automatic levelling and shows a horizontal
and a vertical line.
Horizontal line mode (fig. 5)
Start the tool and press the multifunction button (2) again. The laser goes into horizontal line mode with
automatic levelling and shows a horizontal line.
Vertical line mode (fig. 6)
Start the tool and press the multifunction button (2) twice. The laser goes into vertical line mode with
automatic levelling and shows a vertical line.
Using the tool without automatic levelling (fig. 7)
Start the tool and press the multifunction button (2) three times. The laser goes into cross line mode and
shows a horizontal and a vertical line without automatic levelling. In this mode you can hold the tool freely
in your hand, or mount it on a tripod at the required angle. The two lines can be aligned as you want, and
do not need to be at a 90º angle to each other.
