Main menu DT O and DT F (temperature difference)
Description
The solar collector’s circulation pump P1 starts at the specified temperature difference (DT) between the
solar collector and the storage tank.
For example: If the temperature difference to switch-on (DT O) is 8°C and the temperature difference for
switch-off (DT F) is 4°C, and the temperature in the lower part of the tank is 20°C, the circulation pump
starts at a solar collector temperature of 28°C and stops at a solar collector temperature of 24°C.
NOTE: The temperature difference DT O = 8°C and DT F = 4°C is the factory default setting and rarely
needs to be changed, except for large heat-transfer distances. DT for switch-on respective switch-off are
set independently. DT O must be at least 2°C higher than DT F.
Setting the temperature difference for switch-on (DT
O)
Open the main menu and select the menu row DT
O.
Press the SET button. DT O 08°C is shown on the display, with 08°C flashing.
Set the appropriate temperature difference for switch-on using the + and - buttons. The setting
range is from (DT F 2°C) to 20°C. The factory setting is 8°C.
Press the ESC button to save the setting and exit the sub-menu.
Setting the temperature difference for switch-off (DT F)
Open the main menu and select the menu row DT F.
Press the SET button. DT O 04°C is shown on the display, with 04°C flashing.
Set the appropriate temperature difference for switch-off using the + and - buttons. Setting range is
from 0°C to (DT O - 2°C). The factory setting is 4°C.
Press the ESC button to save the settings and exit the sub-menu. The settings are saved
automatically and the menu is closed after 20 seconds of inactivity.
Main menu THET (operating times for auxiliary heating)
Description
An electric, gas or oil-powered auxiliary heating device can be integrated into the solar heating system
and be set to switch on at the specified temperature during certain periods. During these periods, the
auxiliary heating device switches on if the temperature (T3) in the upper part of the tank falls below a
