CMN: Minimum solar collector temperature
Description
When the temperature of the solar collector falls below the specified CMN-temperature, the solar collector
circulation pump does not start, even if the temperature difference between the solar collector and the
storage tank is greater than the specified temperature difference for switch-on. When the solar collector
temperature rises at least 3°C above the specified CMN temperature, the collector circulation pump
starts.
Setting
Open the TEMP menu and the CMN submenu. CMN --- is displayed. The factory setting is disabled.
Press the SET button. --- flashes to denote that the function is disabled.
Press the SET button to activate/disable the function.
Activate the function and use the + and - buttons to set the lowest permitted CMN temperature.
Setting range 00-90°C, factory setting 10°C.
Press the ESC button to save the settings and exit the menu. The settings are saved automatically.
The menu closes after 20 seconds of inactivity.
If this symbol is displayed, the CMN function is activated.
CFR: Frost protection for solar collector
Description
If the solar collector temperature drops below the specified activation temperature for freeze protection
(factory setting is 4°C) on account of the weather, the solar collector circulation pump starts. If the storage
tank temperature (T2) drops below 4°C, the electric heater starts automatically and works until (T2) has
risen to 20°, or until CFR stops.
When the solar collector temperature rises to 7°C, the collector circulation pump stops and CRF stops.
This function is used for freeze protection in systems that use water as the heat carrier medium.
Setting
Open the TEMP menu and the CFR submenu. CFR --- is displayed. The factory setting is disabled.
Press the SET button. --- flashes to denote that the function is disabled.
Press the SET button to activate/disable the function.
Set the required switch-on temperature for freeze protection using the + and - buttons. Setting
range -10°C to 10°C, factory setting 4°C.
Press the ESC button to save the settings and exit the menu. The settings are saved automatically.
The menu closes after 20 seconds of inactivity.
If this symbol is displayed, the CFR function is activated.
NOTE:
This function is only available in certain systems where antifreeze is not used. Such systems
should only be used in areas where periods of outdoor temperature of 0°C or lower are rare and brief. If
safety requirements are high, the heat carrier medium must be mixed with appropriate antifreeze.
