When the temperature difference DT between temperature sensor T1 and the storage tank temperature
sensor T2 reaches the temperature difference DT O for switch-on, the solar collector circulation pump
starts. If the temperature (T3) in the top of the storage tank exceeds the specified maximum temperature
SMX for the tank, the collector circulation pump stops even if there is a specified temperature difference
for switch-on. When the tank temperature drops to 2°C below the switch-on temperature for the SMX
function, the circulation pump starts again when there is a specified temperature difference for switch-on.
Setting
Open the TEMP menu and the SMX submenu. SMX 60°C is displayed.
Press the SET button. 60°C flashes.
Set the required maximum storage tank temperature using the + and - buttons. Setting range 2°C
to 95°C, factory setting 60°C.
Press the SET button to activate or disable the function. When the function is disabled, SMX --- is
displayed.
Press the ESC button to save the settings and exit the menu. The settings are saved automatically.
The menu closes after 20 seconds of inactivity.
If this symbol is displayed, the SMX function is activated.
REC: Tank cooling
Description
If the temperature of the storage tank rises above the specified maximum temperature, and the
temperature of the solar collector is 5°C or more lower than the storage tank temperature, the collector
circulation pump starts in the reverse flow direction, whereby the storage tank temperature drops due to
heat loss in the solar collector. The collector circulation pump runs until the storage tank temperature has
dropped below the specified maximum temperature.
Setting
Open the TEMP menu and the REC submenu. REC OFF is displayed. The factory setting is disabled.
Press the SET button. OFF flashes.
Press the SET button to activate or disable the function. The factory setting is REC ON.
Press the ESC button to save the settings and exit the menu. The settings are saved automatically.
The menu closes after 20 seconds of inactivity.
If this symbol is displayed, the REC function is activated.
C-F: Setting the temperature display in °C or °F
Setting
Open the TEMP menu and the C-F submenu. C-F °C flashes.
Press the SET button. °C flashes.
Select ° C or ° F using the + button. The factory setting is °C.
Press the ESC button to save the settings and exit the menu. The settings are saved automatically.
The menu closes after 20 seconds of inactivity.
FUN: Auxiliary functions
Settings for auxiliary functions are changed under the FUN menu. Several auxiliary functions can be
activated simultaneously.
