INSTALLATION
The winch must be correctly installed to work properly.
1.
Install the winch with the supplied M8 x 30 screws, lock washers and flat washers, or other suitable
installation parts.
WARNING:
The winch must be installed with the wire in the
correction unwinding
direction. Incorrect installation can damage the winch and will invalidate the warranty.
2.
Connect the two wires from the remote control to the motor, and two from the motor to the battery.
Connect the red wire to the plus terminal on th
e battery and connect the green or black wire to the
minus terminal. Connect the two other wires to the terminal blocks on the winch motor.
3.
Check the direction of rotation of the drum. Put the clutch knob in disengaged position (OFF) so
that the drum can r
otate freely. Pull out the wire from the drum and engage by putting the clutch
knob in the IN position. Press the CABLE IN button on the remote control. The direction of rotation
of the drum is correct if the wire winds up. If the wire unwinds, switch the two wires on the winch
motor and check the direction of rotation again.
USE
Intended use
The winch has a permanent magnet motor and is intended for hobby use. The winch is not intended for
commercial or industrial use. The winch must not be used to lift up, or suspend, loads. The clutch is
operated with a knob. The wire can be pulled out by hand, without a power supply, in disengaged
position. A guide plate reduces the risk of kickback and helps prevent the wire from getting entangled
when it is pulled out.
Use
1.
Put the clutch knob in disengaged position (OFF) so that the drum can rotate freely.
2.
Pull out the hook and wire by pulling the safety strap. Fasten the wire to the load to be winched.
WARNING:
Check that there are at least 5 turns of wire on the drum.
3.
Engage by putting the clutch knob in the IN position. WARNING: The clutch must be engaged
when winching is started. Do not engage while the drum is rotating. The clutch knob is adjusted at
the factory and locked with thread locking fluid. Never attempt to
adjust the knob.
4.
Press the CABLE IN button on the remote control to wind up the wire.
5.
Press the CABLE OUT button on the remote control to unwind the wire. Allow the motor to stop
before changing direction.
6.
Wind up the wire when you have finished.
