Important note!
Select a central assembly position (e.g.
corridor) for the
first
smoke alarm
device with radio link (master). While
planning this position, remember that
the distance between the
first
smoke
alarm device with radio link (master)
and the planned assembly positions of
the other smoke alarm devices with ra-
dio links to be connected to the radio
group are approximately equidistant.
1. For commissioning the
first
smoke
alarm device with radio link, remove
the black activation fuse from the red
activated button (Illus. 1 point a).
CAUTION!
The long thin side of the activation fuse
also serves a tip (Illus. 5) for engaging
the radio button (Illus. 6 point a) and
will be required again.
Now press the red activation button
(Illus. 1 point a) of the device. This but-
ton must close when pressed with the
device‘s housing. A short audible signal
indicates that your smoke alarm device
with radio link is activated.
2. With the initial start-up of the smoke
alarm device with radio link, the radio
LED (Illus. 6 point b) shows through a
short, yellow interval that the device
automatically searches for other smoke
alarm devices with radio links for set-
ting up a radio connection.
Since the smoke alarm device with ra-
dio link activated
first still cannot find
any other smoke alarm device with
radio link for making a radio connected
yet, the radio LED gives out a short red
signal which means that no other smo-
ke alarm device with radio link with ac-
tivated master function could be found
