9. Restart / set-up
After changing the battery, the watch is automatically restarted. Please note:
The battery should only be changed by an authorised specialist or the
Junghans Service Centre.
Reception of the DCF 77 signal commences. Given good reception, the exact
time will be displayed after a few minutes.
If your radio-controlled watch is unable to pick up a signal, it will auto -
matically retry later on. In the meantime you can also set your radio-con -
trolled watch manually. This also applies if you are outside the DCF 77 trans-
mitter range and want to restart your radio-controlled watch after changing
the battery. In this case, your radio-controlled watch will show the time using
the 32 kHz quartz movement. You can set the desired time by pressing the T2
button.
The LC display will guide you (minutes are displayed from
0
to
59
).
Press button once
= minute hand advances by 1 minute
Keep button pressed = hands will advance until button is released
Note: In this special case, the date is not displayed. Instead, the signal control
displays the number ”
1
“.
The adjusted time is kept until trouble-free contact with the DCF 77 time
signal transmitter is possible. The date is displayed again once the time
signal has been received.
