Step 8: Perform Initial Software Configuration
This procedure connects the router to the network but does not enable it to forward
traffic. For complete information about configuring the router to forward traffic, including
examples, see the Junos OS configuration guides.
Check the LEDs on the craft interface to verify the hardware status after reinstalling or
powering on the MX2010 router.

Entering Configuration Mode

Verify that the network device is powered on.
2.
Log in as the root user. There is no password.
